I am so excited to be returning to our documentary.  When we began the documentary twelve years ago we captured a lot of great content, met and interviewed a lot of people and attended a lot of relevant events.  Through these twelve years I have continued to gather important information and capture content that will greatly inform this documentary. Our son who has Down syndrome is now fourteen and through my parenting journey, and as we do as parents, I have learned a great deal, but specifically in terms of raising a child with Down syndrome in our world. Since its beginning, the scope of the project has expanded.

For this stage of our continuing fundraising, I am raising $20K which will be for our additional research and development, pre-production, interviewing additional key crew members, hiring crew, and applying for grants.

This is an important documentary and the stories of our children, relatives, friends, acquaintances and fellows in our world with Down syndrome need to be told. What's Up With Down will do just that and allow the world to see and learn about this wonderful culture of people, and in the process, help them to continue to thrive.
